2018 Dirty Kanza Training Plan

I’ve received a lot of requests for the 2017 DK training plan. And, regrettably, I haven’t replied to the requests that have come in lately. I plan to do so and will do so. Please be patient with me. =)

I plan on updating the plan for 2018 and will send that to everyone once it’s ready.

If you’re anxious to get started training, the best thing you can do right now is to ride your bike. The plan doesn’t start until January, so there’s no rush until then. So, get on the bike, keep the rubber side down, and have fun!

  1. Hi, I just learned that I made the lottery selection for Dirty K. Could you please send me your training plan when it has been prepared? Thank you! Bill

  2. Hey CT: I’ve followed you for years, but never thought to do the DK200. This year I am! Already on the bike (and in the weight room), but need some guidance from someone who’s been there. Can you send me your plan when you get it updated? Thanks!

    1. Congrats on taking on the challenge! If you’re already on the bike AND in the weight room, you are miles ahead of the pack! Keep working hard.

The plan is saved as a Google Spreadsheet. You can access the latest version at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1c2QvVSljw218UPIRPjSY6AgSMXwUJXB_co93vjNSJAk/edit?usp=sharing

Give it a look and let me know if there’s any other information that will help you. As FYI, I plan to post on nutrition, hydration, and other important topics as we get deeper into the training season.

      Train hard. Race smart! Kory

  3. I was also selected for DK200 2018. Successfully tackled the 100 last year and ready to return for twice the fun. I would love to have the training plan if you’re still willing to share it. Thanks in advance for giving back to the gravel community!

  4. Looking for a training plan also! Hoping to tackle the DK200 on my fat bike, so would love a copy of your training plan – I’ll need it! Thanks for sharing!

  5. Hello….I made it into the DK100. It’ll be my first century gravel race. I come from a mtb background and can not wait to try grave. Could you please send me your plan? Thank you so much.

  6. Hey CT, I didn’t get into DK200 but still wanted to pursue some long gravel rides that are hosted in CO in late spring/early summer. Would you mind sending me your updated 2018 plan? Thanks!

  7. Kory, It is really great of you to offer this up. I’d love a copy of either your 2017 or 2018 training plan so that I can get started training for the DK. I fear that I need all the help I can get! Thanks

  8. You actually make it appear so easy together with your presentation but I to find this topic to be actually one thing which I believe I’d never understand. It seems too complicated and extremely extensive for me. I’m having a look ahead to your subsequent publish, I will try to get the cling of it!

  9. I am no longer positive the place you’re getting your information, but good topic. I needs to spend a while finding out much more or working out more. Thanks for excellent info I was looking for this info for my mission.

  10. You actually make it seem really easy along with your presentation however I to find this matter to be actually something that I believe I would by no means understand. It sort of feels too complex and very wide for me. I am having a look forward on your subsequent post, I will attempt to get the grasp of it!
